Obey But Don’t You Provoke

Colossians 3: 20-21 Children, always obey your parents, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not aggravate your children, or they will become discouraged.

It is of ignorance for one to overlook the Scripture that accompanies the famous Scripture about obeying parents. It wouldn’t be of GOD to breath one without balancing it by instructing parents to refrain from provoking their children. Parents, before you utter “obey your parents…,” be sure that the trail you’ve blazed is one of remarkable clearance. One of remarkable clearance so that followers (your children) may see clearly and not cloudy. Children without clear views sometimes become Pathfinders more often than not, and some choose the Trailblazer path on their own in such circumstances. The moral of this short sermon is: lead the way properly for offspring, don’t provoke offspring (your children), and make swell choices of the behaviors exuded before them.
